Emma Lindo – Player Development Coordinator

My son attended a taster session with the Letchworth Roller Hockey Club in 2018. 

He enjoyed it so much he joined the club to train at the beginning of 2019 and by the end of the year was playing competitively. 

My daughter also joined in 2020. All three of us have been hooked since! 

I’ve participated actively with the club as Team Assistant at tournaments for the last 6 years. 

More recently I’ve taken an interest in further supporting player development. 

It’s easy to accelerate players that have natural technical ability, but it’s important not to lose sight of other players that are dedicated, keen to develop, and have the same potential to develop if they are given the appropriate support. 

I proposed a new “Player Development Coordinator” role to the LRHC committee at the beginning of the 2024/5 season, primarily to support the coaching team with implementing player development plans. 

It was voted in by the committee, with myself taking on the role, and now I’m very much looking forward to being an active advocate for the development of our club’s players.
